Finally! Mocha Girls Read has a new home. Sorry it has taken me so long to get this place together but we are finally here. First let me say, the site is still under construction and there are a few things that still need to be worked out. Like the book section is not working and I have no idea why. It’s like moving into a new house before the electric is turned on. We will have to use candles for now.
With the new site there are few new things here, like:
~The comment section is hosted by livefyre and it is a real time commenting section. That means you can log in to with your Facebook or Twitter account and when you mention someone they will get a notice to come and be apart of the conversation. So we will be able to chit-chat on a post like we do on Facebook and Twitter.
~There is a video cam section in the menu bar that will allow us to video chat book club meetings. All you have to do is click the web cam and press “Allow” for the software to access you camera. And your on! There is a number count on there as well to let you know how many people are on. Right now we have a max of 9 people (I think).
~There are sections for Newsletters, FAQ, Giveaways, About us and of course Join Us!
We are currently working on fixing the Book section, the Review section and the missing share buttons. (I hope that is all!) That reminds me! A BIG shout out goes to Jimmy the IT guy helping me. More like doing…all the fixes and getting all of this amazing work behind the scenes. He is like the our website doctor. Thank you Jimmy!!
