Reminder: Nominations

Getting to Happy

I just want to remind everyone we are still taking Nominations for the November book.

If you have handed in your book nominations at the October book club meeting, I have added them to the list.  The Nominations will be closed on Tuesday October 18, 2011.  Voting will start on Thursday October 20, 2011 and will run until October 31, 2011.

Right now we have a very, very eclectic list of books.  Some of the books nominated so far are:  Getting to Happy by Terry McMillian, Wild Seed by Octavia Butler, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, True Grit by Charles Portis.  I am excited to see the list growing too.  Right now there are 41 books on the list.  (Note for me next time, since the group is growing so fast, we will nominate only 2 books each)  To Nominate your favorite 5 books go to the link or the NOMINATION button on the side menu.  List in the comments section five books with authors you would like to read starting in November.

Currently we are reading THE STRAWBERRY LETTER by Shirley Strawberry.  How is the book so far?  What do you think?  What page are you on?  Out of 5 stars, how many stars would you give it?
