Netflix is bringing Black love to Chocolate City this fall with the film, Really Love. Led by Melanin Productions and Homegrown Pictures, the film stars a number of critically acclaimed actors like Tristan “Mack” Wilds of The Wire, Kofi Siriboe of Queen Sugar, Uzo Aduba of Orange Is The New Black and Michael Ealy of 2 Fast 2 Furious. Not to mention, Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing is prepared to have her coming-out party.
“A Black painter and an ambitious law student try to make their romance last while not abandoning their own careers, or each other,” the film’s description reads.
“Black love, music, and culture collide in ‘Chocolate City’ as this fiery romantic drama takes shape. Really Love is the Black love story we’ve been waiting for.”
